NVLP Resource HUB Verification Policy

1. What Verified Means. A VERIFIED PROFESSIONAL or VERIFIED PROVIDER badge indicates that AEHP reviewed specified information about the member — such as credential type, issuing authority, or organization details — according to this policy. Verification is informational. It is not a guarantee of quality, outcomes, availability, or suitability for any individual. 2. How the Badge Is Issued. The Verified badge is generated exclusively by the HUB verification workflow: a member submits documentation, AEHP reviews it, and a SiteAdmin records a decision. No other process — including membership payment — can set or restore Verified status. 3. Payment Never Triggers Verification. Payment of membership fees is entirely separate from verification. A paid, unverified member displays only the LISTED designation. 4. Workflow States. Verification submissions move through: Submitted → Under Review → (Additional Information Required) → Verified. Verified credentials carry an expiration where applicable and may enter Renewal Verification Due or Verification Expired. When a credential expires, the Verified badge is removed until renewal is verified. 5. Renewal. AEHP will notify members before a verified credential expires. The member is responsible for providing renewal documentation. 6. Verification Is Not Endorsement. Inclusion in the HUB — verified or not — is not an endorsement by AEHP-NVLP. Users remain responsible for evaluating whether any professional or provider is appropriate for their circumstances. 7. Concerns. Any community member may report a concern about a listing through the HUB's Report a Concern process. Reports may trigger re-verification. 8. Governance. This policy is version-controlled under the HUB governance workflow; only AEHP SiteAdmin may approve or activate a new version.
